Kenaidan Murphy Joint Venture is pleased to announce that it has been awarded the Construction Management Contract, by Metrolinx, for the Grimsby GO Station project. This is a significant milestone in the continued expansion of transit infrastructure across the Niagara Region.
Grimsby GO Station will be one of the newest additions to Ontario's GO Transit network, providing a long-awaited rail connection for the growing Grimsby community. Located on the Lakeshore West Corridor, the station will feature a 315-metre train platform, passenger shelters, accessibility features and modern customer information systems, designed to meet the needs of today’s commuters. The project forms part of Metrolinx's broader commitment to expanding transit access and improving regional connectivity across Southern Ontario.
Kenaidan Murphy will work alongside Metrolinx from the earliest stages of the project, bringing construction expertise, collaborative problem solving and proven delivery experience to help achieve the best possible outcomes for the project and its stakeholders.
Tony O'Sullivan, President of Kenaidan Murphy, said:
"We're proud to have been awarded the Construction Management Contract for the Grimsby GO Station project. This appointment allows us to work alongside Metrolinx from the outset, bringing our construction expertise to the project early, helping to identify opportunities, manage risk and develop practical solutions that support successful delivery. We know how important this investment will be for the community and we're excited to get started."
Grimsby GO Station represents another important step in the expansion of Ontario's transit network and will create lasting benefits for the community by improving connectivity, supporting economic development and creating new opportunities for sustainable growth.
The appointment further strengthens Kenaidan Murphy’s reputation as a leader in collaborative infrastructure delivery. By combining Kenaidan's expertise in major civil and transportation projects with Murphy's internationally recognized rail capability, the joint venture brings together decades of experience in delivering complex projects safely, efficiently and collaboratively in live transit environments.
Brian Jorge, Kenaidan Murphy Project Director for Grimsby GO, added:
"By working closely with Metrolinx and project stakeholders from day one, we can help shape practical solutions, manage challenges early and build confidence around delivery. We're looking forward to becoming part of the Grimsby community and helping deliver a station that will serve residents for generations to come."
Throughout the project, Kenaidan Murphy will focus on safety, collaboration, innovation and community engagement, while creating opportunities for local businesses, workers and suppliers to contribute to a transformational piece of regional infrastructure.
